Working as an operator in The Netherlands? Your tasks and workday
As an operator in a Dutch company, you ensure that all technical installations at your workplace run smoothly. You set up machines, perform quality checks according to Dutch standards and take immediate action in case of any malfunctions or irregularities. Sometimes you fix a technical issue yourself, while at other times you propose ideas to improve the production process. You work independently where possible, and as part of a Dutch team where needed.
→ When it comes to working hours in the Netherlands, you often work in shifts: two-shift, three-shift or even five-shift systems. This means variety, plus an attractive Dutch shift allowance that gives your salary a significant boost. Together, we will find a schedule in the Netherlands that fits your lifestyle.
What can you expect as an operator in the Netherlands?
At ABflexkracht in the Netherlands you can count on an excellent salary starting from €16.00 gross per hour, depending on your experience and the job level (Operator A, B or C). On top of that, you will receive:
- Shift allowance according to the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) in the Netherlands or company policy where you work;
- Overtime pay in line with the CAO or company rules;
- Travel allowance of €0,23 per kilometre;
- 8% holiday pay on top of your gross salary;
- Pension scheme through StiPP (according to the ABU-CAO);
- Free training courses such as VAPRO, process operator programmes or technical certificates;
Personal guidance from a dedicated contact person who supports you from your very first working day.
Some Dutch employers offer extras such as work clothing, personal protective equipment, internal growth programmes or even the chance of a permanent contract in the Netherlands.
